2005 & 2007 post
[edit]I've removed the following from the article, as I can't make sense of it or see how it could be relevant (there is also some POV):
- For a seriously convoluted reason, the bishop for the parish of Kilfenora is in fact the Pope of the time, and not the bishop of the diocese it should be in - the diocese of Galway
If someone can make sense of and NPOV this, please put it back in the article. -Rholton 00:27, Apr 22, 2005 (UTC)
I have frequently seen the claim that the Pope is bishop of Kilfenora-particularly in tourist leaflets. I should like to see a canon lawyer historian state the evidence for the claim if it is in any sense true. (The Pope is in a sense ordinary for every diocese according to Vatican I. Kilfenora unlike other administered dioceses, e;g. Ross is not a title accorded to titular bishops). Please clarify!----—Preceding unsigned comment added by Clive sweeting (talk • contribs) 10:40, 7 September 2007
Copyright violation
[edit]Today I removed all the obvious copyright violation text that was copied and pasted from here from the Clare County Library site. That text has been online since early 2002 per this archive.org search. Do not readd it, though you may use it as reference for new written statements. ww2censor (talk) 18:00, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Can i add this link in the external links http://www.360eire.com/360eire/Mumhan/ContaeanChlair/CillFhionnurach/CillFhionnurach.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dialinn (talk • contribs) 00:37, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
This should have been done a long time ago...
[edit]I did a major reworking. Things are still a little confused on which cross is now where after the restoration work. Maybe someone with more up-to-date sources can clean up this mess.
The article could also use some better pictures. Those were the best I could find on commons.
The construction date on the cathedral and the crosses are also a bit hazy (sources contradict each other), anyone with a reliable book would be welcome to clarify these. Once we have enough stuff on the cathedral, it may even merit its own page.Drow69 (talk) 16:53, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
New article on the cathedral
[edit]I copied all relevant material (possibly excluding some of the stuff on the crosses) to Kilfenora Cathedral. Not sure how much content should be deleted from the Kilfenora article itself...so I will leave this to someone else.Drow69 (talk) 16:40, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
