Symphony No. 2 etc

[edit]

Back in June 2000 I posted a description of Jadassohn's symphony no. 2 (op. 28, A major, four movements), which I'd interloaned, to rec.music.classical. (I also interloaned his first piano trio, in F op. 16, whose first movement did indeed sound in the Mendelssohn-Schumann orbit.) There was very little increased interest in his music on the centenary of his death beyond the release of one CD, but this is the source of mine. Not sure how relevant that article (can't direct-link it of course) is to this article, and feel free to delete this talk: entry if and as it isn't. Schissel : bowl listen 20:37, May 24, 2005 (UTC)

Opus numbers and existence? of the second-fourth string quartets

[edit]

(and keys, too) What is the source for these? Opus 22 seems also to belong to a set of four piano waltzes (OCLC 254058922), opus 12 to a set of characteristic pieces OCLC 163624845 (I wasn't aware of a multiple-opus-to-piece problem as with Krommer, but certainly may well be...), opus 18 is Trois petits morceaux (likewise see OCLC) unless again it was assigned to more than one piece. Media - New Audio Files Added

[edit]

I (Kbwiki001 (talk) 22:52, 16 February 2024 (UTC)) added three new audio files to the article. They are Jadassohn's "Improvisationens Op.75 No.1 Bolero - No.2 Ländler - No.3 Zwiegespräch" performed by my colleague (of 27 years) Kaila Rochelle on her Yamaha CLP-645 Clavinova to a PnoTeq Pro 7.5.1 Bechstein DG virtual piano instrument.[reply]

'We' are the 'owners' of these works and have applied the appropriate wiki publishing license. We will make further Jadassohn audio file additions performed by Kaila Rochelle over the next several days. - Kbwiki001 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kbwiki001 (talkcontribs) 08:44, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
