Venn diagrams
[edit]He is linked from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venn_diagram
Did he really come up with ‘cogwheels’ for Venn diagrams?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.214.48.17 (talk • contribs) 10:19, 9 June 2004
- I highly doubt it. Two blokes with the same name. There's also a link to him on Rowing at the 1996 Summer Olympics, which presumably is yet another Anthony Edwards, as that dude is from Australia. CaptainCarrot 00:55, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Airplane
[edit]Cameo in "Airplane!"??? - If you look closely at the second or third "religious zealot" in the airport when Robert Stack's character enters the airport, he looks amazingly like Anthony Edwards with a mustache. Can this be confirmed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.131.13.176 (talk • contribs) 22:53, 12 February 2006
Nerds
[edit]That thing about the second Nerds movie is incorrect. He shows up in a Lewis's halucination later in the movie.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.40.63.142 (talk • contribs) 03:22, 7 August 2006

Emmy
[edit]the intro says 'emmy award winning'. later on it says he never won. did i miss something?Toyokuni3 (talk) 16:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Angel
[edit]he was also in one episode of Angel, the spin off of Buffy the vampire Slayer, in which he played a torturer that was trying to extract information from Angel for Spike about a ring that would let vampires walk in the sun. i can't believe I'm the first to cite this appearance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.152.61 (talk) 02:26, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Marathon
[edit]Did he run the November 1, 2009 marathon? (presented as a future date, now past) 208.75.96.29 (talk) 02:41, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Director or producer
[edit]Edwards has numerous credits for being a producer, yet I can't find anything that seems valid in justifying him as a director. I don't think IMDB is a reliable source, and the link to the Emmy's doesn't link to anything directly. Wouldn't it be more accurate to label him an actor/producer since he has a lot more producer credits and, from what I can tell, no director credits? Newer photo?
[edit]Is there really no public domain (or otherwise usable) photo of him since 2002? I'm sure he looks different than he did 11 years ago. Strumphs (talk) 20:15, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Table format
[edit]Viewing this article in a narrow window (about 8-1/2 x 11, i guess), the single entry for ER is more than two screens long. --P64 (talk) 22:08, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
spouses
[edit]I suspect there is an error, I don't believe he married Mare Winningham (his co-star from 1988's "Miracle Mile"). Her page also lists this marriage. For both, the marriage is listed in the Bio summary found upper left of page. It is not listed under Personal Life for either of them, kind of strange. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1017:B02A:9CAD:4139:F313:4E3B:6A6F (talk) 06:27, 25 December 2018 (UTC)

Anthony Edwards → Anthony Edwards (actor) – no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC [1] Joeykai (talk) 06:59, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Most Google hits for "Anthony Edwards" seem to reference Anthony Edwards (basketball). (Not suggesting that the basketballer should be the new primary topic, but that the actor certainly shouldn't be.) Hqb (talk) 09:44, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support the basketball player gets more (61,299) than the actor (40,291)[[2]] move Anthony Edwards (disambiguation) to the base name. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:48, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Content removal
[edit]Hi @ProfReader the only concern I have about your edit is we lose the sourcing. Do you think it would be helpful to move the sourcing to the filmography so we lose the duplication but not the sourcing? Star Mississippi 14:13, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hmm. Maybe. In almost every single instance of an actor's filmography, the fact that he or she appeared in a movie or TV show or whatever is not actually cited. Instead, the info about the cast is available by just clicking on the linked project. Maybe that ought be be cited in both places, but in the overwhelming majority of cases, it isn't. If the sourcing for proof that he was in some movie is worth including, then that is fine by me. But, the giant block of text that just turned the subsquent table into a big text block ought to be removed.ProfReader (talk) ProfReader (talk) 20:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oops, missed this. Sorry for delay @ProfReader. I feel like it's subject to removal as being unverified if it's not sourced, which is why most have some narrative/box repetition. Agree in this case it was too much, but I think we do need to source the lesser known ones. ER, Top Gun of course are easy to otherwise verify. Star Mississippi 15:13, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed. I add back that text but pared out all the stuff (a lot of it) that never had a citation to start with. I moved a few of the cites to the table and then deleted the text, but not all. The material about his real hit like ER and Top Gun probably deserve some text regardless of being duplicates of info from the table.--ProfReader (talk) 13:35, 11 June 2022 (UTC)

Married to LeBron James?
[edit]I'm certain that listing LeBron James (instead of Jeanine Lovell) as Anthony's spouse is either a typo or an attempt at humor. Also, he and Mare Winningham are/were married, at least they were about 2 years ago when I watched their interview on TV about an off-Broadway play they both appeared in.
