I thought they were owned by Buy.com, not eBay. I'd check, but the wankers prevent anyone from viewing their site without IE 5.0+ on Windows. RADICALBENDER★ 17:05, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- Right. http://www.drmwatch.com/ocr/article.php/3094411. I was mistaken. Neither I could access the official website. ack! -- Taku 17:14, Mar 28, 2004 (UTC)
- I mostly use Mozilla, but can use IE. Both SlashDot[1] and CNet[2] are reporting very recently that, not only is BuyMusic.com owned by buy.com, but that an email from the company says it's going to be folded into buy.com. Niteowlneils 17:18, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Tons more info for this article
[edit]This article doesn't begin to describe the real story about Buy Music. The $40 million ad campaign featuring Tommy Lee, Blum's promises of equalling and surpassing iTunes, the devastating (and hilarious) reviews. (I particularly enjoyed the coverage on As the Apple Turns [5].) My point is that this article could and should have a lot more.
I know, I know..."Why don't you write it yourself?" Well, I may. In time. Someday. If I get around to it. In the mean time, help yourself.
