Is this a photo of Williamson's real grave? Find-A-Grave lists him as being in the Althorp family vault, and has a photo of the vault. Would Williamson have a separate headstone? The only name I can make out in this photo is "Andrew" (possibly "Andrews" - a last name?) Even Trinity Church's website has him in the Althorp vault. I work for a company that places GPS locations on headstones and have done extensive research in Trinity Church. You are correct. This IS NOT the correct photo for the grave of Hugh Williamson. I look at headstones in my line of work frequently. This stone says: Here lyes the body of ____ Daniel Son of ______Andrew. It would only make sense that Hugh Williamson is buried in the vault of his father-in-law. Annajyoung (talk) 16:55, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It seems notable since Williamson is otherwise today a fairly obscure figure for the layperson and the street is prominent in Madison and has a number of festivals and businesses which are named for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.220.5.228 (talk) 07:08, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This page should be edited to be simpler and easier to read. Phrases like "His erudition" and "His experiences in that preeminent event of his generation transformed the genial scholar into an adroit politician and a determined leader in the campaign for effective national government." are far too lofty. Additionally, the page should be written from a more neutral perspective (seems like a lot of the article is dedicated to flattering the guy). Similar language issues are present throughout the article. Haydenb247 (talk) 15:56, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
