By my teacher:
- (about showing a "sequence of error correction")
- "Just make an error and then take a printscreen of it"
- (about being presented a coursework)
- "Where's your cover page?" (yes, that's right folks: we need to have a cover page. It isn't in the mark scheme. *sigh*)
From exam papers:
- A customer of a company wishes to connect to the Internet. Which one of the following is not required to access the Internet?
- Internet service provider
- Sound card
- Web browser
- Modem
- Think carefully about number 3.
- In a data entry form, an example of a sensible and economical coding for a field asking if a person's age is over 21 would be:
- true false
- yes no
- Y N
- over under
- I chose 4, thinking of making things clear to the user, and considering that I didn't know how the question was phrased. The correct answer is 3, because it takes up less space ("economical") on the computer. Apparently the exam board have never heard of ENUM-style fields.
- Damien works at a computer all day long. He has started to suffer from back pain. Which of these should he use to help reduce the back pain?
- An adjustable chair
- A copy holder
- A wrist rest
- An anti glare screen
- A thesaurus in a word processing application is used to:
- count the number of words on a page
- check spelling
- work out a calculation
- find a word of a similar meaning
- Which is a benefit of using robots in a factory?
- they design better products
- they don't need any maintenance
- they don't cost much to install
- they perform repetitive tasks efficiently
