- I think in this context, most people would assume that the word "free" was being used in the sense "without charge". That the account requires personal information does not represent a "charge" or "cost" in most people's minds, although obviously it is "the price you pay" for the extra services, so I understand what you're getting at. However, I don't think replacing "free" with "does not cost money" makes this any clearer to the casual reader, since they are used synonymously; so I've phrased it with "free, although" instead. - IMSoP 15:23, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
