My full name is Cedric Chin Leun Sam, but you write it as 岑正倫 in Traditional Chinese, 岑正伦 in Simplified Chinese and write it as Cen Zhenglun in pinyin. I am of Chinese Cantonese descent and my father and mother are respectively from Madagascar and Vietnam (see Overseas Chinese).

I was born on September 27 1980, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and lived there all my life.

I graduated from McGill University with bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Computer Science.

I am a Linux enthusiast since 2002, and have a restaurant site called Métro Boulot Resto. Since 2008, I run the website Comme les Chinois.

I work at Bloomberg News (Graphics) since December 2015. Previously, I worked at the South China Morning Post (2013-15), La Presse (2013), JMSC HKU (2010-2012) and CBC/Radio-Canada (2007-09). Proud Montrealer now living in New York City, after seven years in Hong Kong.
