This is similar to, and may be synonymous with, succession planting. I changed the original definition here, which stated that multiple cropping specifically refers to successive plantings, not not simultaneous. It seems, from looking online for definitions, that "multiple cropping" is a looser term, simply referring to growing more than one crop in the same place during the same season. That fits with the understanding I've had, though I haven't seen the term used much. "Succession planting" is widely used. It usually appears in literature for home/small-scale farm vegetable production. Tsavage 18:15, 22 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Page Length and Merging Suggestion

This page, nurse crop & polyculture are all very short and would benefit from being merged into each other or other relevant pages. I'm not well versed in searching either article merging or searching for the guidelines for specifics of wikipedia editing. Houdinipeter (talk) 18:33, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How to access Twinkle on an article

Hi @Houdinipeter: if you want to propose a merge of these pages, there is a useful information page here, stating why and how to propose a merger. There's also a WikiProject - WikiProject Merge that could be a useful place to find out more information or ask questions if you need more help. Basically, to propose a merger, you follow the instructions here. Alternatively, you could enable Twinkle on your Wikipedia account by clicking the Twinkle tick box on this page, then clicking save at the bottom. You can then go to the page you want to merge, click on the TW button on the right of the bar at the top of the article, clicking on the Tag option, scrolling down to the Merging section, choosing the correct template that you want and filling in the boxes that appear. This is quite complicated, so if you want some help proposing this merger, just ask on this talk page with which pages you think should be merged and why you think they should be merged, add a {{help}} template and some other kind editor will do this process for you if you so want.
