An encyclopedia is maybe not the place for anecdotes, but since this is the discussion page.... I know of two young science teachers who 'competed' with each other on this prank. One sent a pupil to the other for a long stand. The child returned with a long burette stand, and a request for some Fallopian tubes. He was duly sent back with some lengths of Bunsen burner tubing.
