[edit]Dear Wikipedia Website Master,
I did the original research on Thomas Bracken's triple star line in his GDNZ and made the conection with Te Kooti. I would like to advise a small correction in your article, as follows:
Please delet the title 'Chief' in your reference to 'Chief Te Kooti' Te Kooti was a campaign leader, but was never a 'Chief'
Regards

References required
[edit]In the opening it is stated that Bracken was the first person to publish the phrase "God's Own Country". I think this needs to be referenced. Theodore D (talk) 10:29, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
- It is referenced in the article on God's own country, though inexplicably you added a "citation needed" template immediately after the reference citation! Grutness...wha? 10:16, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- He might have been the first to use the phrase in relation to New Zealand, but as I pointed out in my recent contribution to discussion at God's own country the phrase was in use well before then.Theodore D (talk) 10:50, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- If that's the case, why didn't you change the God's Own Country article to reflect the fact? Grutness...wha? 00:49, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- He might have been the first to use the phrase in relation to New Zealand, but as I pointed out in my recent contribution to discussion at God's own country the phrase was in use well before then.Theodore D (talk) 10:50, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Citizenship
[edit]How could Bracken have had an "Irish-New Zealand" citizenship in the 19th century when Ireland wasn't an independent country? The citizenship of everyone in Ireland at the time would have been to the United Kingdom. So the entry for citizenship needs to be changed to reflect that, because at the moment it's flat out wrong. 146.200.179.170 (talk) 13:25, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
