I was born and brought up in England, emigrating to New Zealand in the 1960s. I am retired from Victoria University of Wellington with professional interests in Operations Research, Bayesian probability methods, and amateur interests in Roman archaeology.

I am glad to have already started the development of (or made contribution to) articles associated with my interest in archaeology such as: Vindolanda, Lullingstone, Roman villa, Roman invasion of Britain.

I am a Skeptic and, I suppose, a Bright.
