[edit]I would like to keep this page distinct for weapons which saw limited service, but were far from mainstream. This page is NOT to include weapons that never made it past design or trial stages. Production numbers for listed weapons should usually be greater then about a thousand. Oberiko 21:26, 27 Jan 2004
I'm afraid you can't really make rules about a page. This is a cooperative process and people WILL add what they think should be here. RickK 02:49, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Ah, didn't mean to come off sounding so harsh. I'd like to instead recommend that people place very limited weapons in the prototype list shown at the bottom. Oberiko 23:45, 27 Jan 2004
The Sterling SMG Should be removed from this article because the article is about World War II infantry weapons and the Sterling was produced after World War II in the 1950s
added
[edit]I added the sturmgehwer as that was hardly used and was special issue to the SS only
Merger
[edit]List of World War II infantry weapons had the contentious "common" removed from the title, and this list was merged there. As an aside, many of the entries here were already listed there. I left out Wimmersperg Spz because there's no proof it was ever issued. Clarityfiend (talk) 00:39, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
